Ingredients:
Oar Bran, Bleached enriched wheat flour, Buttermilk Powder, Aluminum free baking powder (calcium phosphate, baking soda, corn starch), Salt.
Preparation:
Muffin Preparation: Surprise Muffins: Fill muffin cups ½ full and add 1 tsp preserves into center of each. Top with batter to 2/3 full. |
Pancake & Waffle Preparation: Preheat griddle to point where a water drop will dance! (about 400°F) light buttering will reduce sticking and improve color. In a mixing bowl combine 1 ½ cups Muffin Mix with 1 ½ to 2 cups milk. Add 1 or 2 eggs and 1 tbs vegetable oil or melted butter. Do not over-beat! Optional: Add 2 tablespoons sugar (added sweetness) and 1 tbs lemon juice(sours milk for lightness) Pan fry ¼ cup portions of batter turning when air bubbles break.. cake will be golden brown. Serves 4 to 5. |
